Winter can be harsh on your skin, leaving it dry, flaky, and in need of some TLC. Natural skincare is a fantastic way to combat winter dryness without exposing your skin to harsh chemicals. This DIY hydrating honey face mask is a simple, nourishing solution to help you restore moisture and keep your skin glowing all season long.

This face mask uses simple and easy to find ingredients. The ingredients I used, were from Costco and they are ingredients I use on a regular basis.

Ingredients & Benefits

This mask features three powerhouse natural ingredients:

Honey
A natural humectant, honey helps lock in moisture while providing antibacterial properties to soothe and protect your skin.

Yogurt
Packed with lactic acid, yogurt gently exfoliates dead skin cells and leaves your skin soft and smooth. It also has cooling and hydrating benefits.

Olive Oil
Rich in antioxidants and vitamins, olive oil deeply moisturizes and nourishes the skin, leaving it soft and supple.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1 tablespoon of raw honey
1 tablespoon of plain yogurt
1 teaspoon of olive oil
Instructions:
In a small bowl, combine the raw honey, plain yogurt, and olive oil.
Mix well until you achieve a smooth, creamy consistency.
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and pat dry.
Apply the mask evenly to your face using clean fingers or a brush, avoiding the eye area.
Let it sit for 15–20 minutes.
Rinse off with lukewarm water and follow up with your favorite moisturizer.

Tips for Best Results

Patch Test First: Always patch test the mask on a small area of skin to ensure you don’t have any adverse reactions to the ingredients. Although these are all natural ingredients, it is better to be safe than sorry.
When to Use: Apply the mask once or twice a week, preferably in the morning. You can let the mask soak in for best results.
Storage: While it’s best to use this mask fresh, you can store any leftover mixture in the fridge for up to two days. This is especially great cold if you suffer from allergies or puffy eyes.
